Condition matters more on this model than on most. A clean iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB in Grade A brings $150 unlocked; the same phone with a cracked screen and worn edges drops to $98. That is $52 of the value sitting in the glass and the housing — about 35% of what the device is worth.
Even a dead one is worth bringing in: an iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB that will not power on is still $10 to us, because the board, camera and housing get reused. Do not throw it in a drawer.
Carrier lock is the single biggest lever on this model. Unlocked, Grade A pays $150; locked to a carrier it is $82. If your contract is finished, asking your carrier to unlock it before you come in is worth $68 for a phone call.
Never opened? A sealed iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB carries a $4 premium over a used Grade A one — $154 against $150. Bring the box and the seal intact and say so at the counter.
