Condition matters more on this model than on most. A clean iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB in Grade A brings $202 unlocked; the same phone with a cracked screen and worn edges drops to $112. That is $90 of the value sitting in the glass and the housing — about 45% of what the device is worth.
Even a dead one is worth bringing in: an iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB that will not power on is still $28 to us, because the board, camera and housing get reused. Do not throw it in a drawer.
Carrier lock is the single biggest lever on this model. Unlocked, Grade A pays $202; locked to a carrier it is $101. If your contract is finished, asking your carrier to unlock it before you come in is worth $101 for a phone call.
Never opened? A sealed iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB carries a $8 premium over a used Grade A one — $210 against $202. Bring the box and the seal intact and say so at the counter.
We buy the iPhone 12 Pro Max in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB. Storage moves the number, so check you are reading the row for the size you actually have — Settings › General › About will tell you in a few seconds.
Repair first, or sell as is? A screen on an iPhone 12 Pro Max costs $129 and only lifts the offer by about $90. On this model repairing before selling loses you money — sell it cracked and let us handle it.
Battery health below 80% pulls the grade down. A replacement is $69 on an iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is usually worth doing only if you are keeping the phone, not if you are selling it to us.
